Trishelle Page has known pain in her life, but instead of it making her weak, she's stronger. Confident. That is until the day a fairy kidnaps her during her staring role in Peter Pan's play and tells her not only do fairy tales exist, but that she's the soulmate of the pirate they call Hook, making her question everything she ever thought she knew.
Captain James Hook is a man at the end of his rope. He's not the villainous bastard tales have made him out to be. So when the curvaceous blonde drops, literally, at his feet he aims to prove it to her. If only to get her into his bed.
What neither one knows is that fate and magic are conspiring and they can deny the attraction all they want but the end is already written, it's just a matter of getting there.
I love fairy tales. I grew up on the Disney movies and those have been my jumping point into romance since I was a little girl. I remember watching Beauty and the Beast and swooning when the beast over came his anger and earned Belle's love, I got to experience life under the sea with a mermaid, I got to go on an adventure with Alice through wonderland and always had a soft spot for the crazy ol' Mad Hatter...the list goes on.
I love what author Marie Hall did with her Kingdom Series. She took 5 of the badest bads in those timeless tales...and gave them their own happily ever after...because hey! Bad guys need lovin' too.
I've read the first 4 books in this series, and you can read my reviews below. I HIGHLY encourage that you pick up Her Mad Hatter and follow through with the rest of the series. They are so much fun and full of fast passed passion. I love em. Marie Hall has a way with words without dragging a story down with usless details. The plot of the series is to get Hook, Wolf, Jinni, Gerard, and Hatter matched up with their one true mates. They of course have lost hope of that ever happening, but their fairy godmother has several tricks up her sleeve to make sure her boys find happiness despite their stubborness and evil ways.
My Kingdom Series REviews for book 1-4
Her Mad Hatter | Gerard's Beauty | Red and Her Wolf | Jinni's Wish
Trishelle is a lonely woman who never wants for a man's attention, but she knows that love isn't real. She's not one to buy into the love at first sight hoobla, nor is she looking for any kind of commitment. Unfortunately for her and Hook, Hook's Godmother is about to uproot their lives and turn them on their ear.
I found this book engaging and I loved every minute of it. It's my favorite of the 5 books. Hook is just so sexy and Trishelle is a kind of woman after my own heart. The love and romance is fierce and it's an exciting read.
