The breathtaking conclusion to the USA Today best selling Alpha Group Series.
Who is Sebastian Lock?

Their passion for one another consumes them, but as the danger mounts, and loyalties are tested, Sophia must answer one simple question. What is she willing to risk for love?

Unlocked is a bit longer Locked and Unlocked, which allows the pacing to feel natural and unrushed. The characters really come into their own. I really felt Sebastian's struggle to choose between his love for Sophia and his deep secrets that span thousands of years. I also found their romance to be more realistic now that I can put all three books together and view it as a whole. Ms. Cross did an excellent job at tying up loose ends, bringing in more characters that shine and add to the plot, and making this story about more than just sex.
The plot really comes to head in this last book. We finally find out what the mystery of the Alpha Group is all about and why Sebastian is so dedicated to it. We also learn why he'd almost throw love away for it. Sophia kicked ass in this one too. I didn't really understand her motives in the first two books, but she really grows as a person through the mishaps and hurdles the author throws her way.
I'm a sucker for suspense and this had it in spades. There's also some mystery that comes to light that I wasn't really expecting, so kudos to Ms. Cross for surprising me with that particular curve ball toward the end. And not to forget those erotic love scenes fans of the series have come to expect. It's all here.
The kink we all like is present, but tamed and paired with romantic love scenes that speak from the soul. Sebastian and Sophia seem too really to connect on a level that leapt from the pages. In the first two, the emotions felt almost false…or non-genuine. But I think I understand it a bit better now. In the first two novels, these two people were just in it for the attraction they felt and the sex, but over the series we see them fall in love and the emotions are really palpable as it all comes together.
Unlocked is my favorite out of the entire series, and I encourage Ms. Cross to offer the series in an omnibus edition so fans can read it all in one book. I urge you to all read this great read, and I'm giving this book 4.5 Olives, and give the series an overall 4 Olives. :D
